Kelly Cup and Team Will Take A Trip Down Penn Street on Wednesday Starting From Wyomissing at 6:00 pm--Championship Celebration Will Kick Off at Sovereign Center at 7:00 pm

Reading, PA – The 2013 ECHL Kelly Cup Champion Reading Royals, affiliate of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League and the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League, cordially invite everyone in the Greater Reading Region to join the team in a Victory Parade and Championship Celebration on Wednesday, May 29. The Victory Parade will kick off at 6:00 pm sharp from the McDonald’s/V-F Outlet parking lot in Wyomissing and proceed down Penn Street to the Sovereign Center loading dock. The parade will include trolleys for the Royals players and staff, a Victory Parade Courtesy Car from Steve Moyer Subaru, one of the Zamboni’s from the Sovereign Center, Slapshot driving (hopefully somewhat less erratically than he does everything else) his V&M Towing Four Wheeler, fire and police escort vehicles—and, of course, the Kelly Cup itself, The Championship Celebration will then take things up another notch inside the Sovereign Center beginning at 7:00 pm. There will be a video presentation, music and statements from Coach Courville and your favorite players and several local dignitaries. The event inside the arena will include an opportunity to meet the players and see the Cup up close. There will be at least two concession stands open during the celebration. The Fan-Attic Merchandise Outlet inside the Sovereign Center will open at 5:30 pm and will have a wide selection of Royals’ Kelly Cup Championship gear, including the ‘Official Locker Room T-Shirt and Hat from Reebok Hockey’. Additional Royals’ merchandise is also available by launching the merchandise tab on the Royals’ website, www.royalshockey.com. Please note that there will be FREE PARKING for the Championship Celebration courtesy of the Reading Parking Authority at the Double Tree Garage ONLY beginning at 5:00 pm on Wednesday evening. Doors to the Sovereign Center will open at 5:30 pm. Please note that the decisive Game Five match-up between the Royals and Stockton Thunder will be replayed on in Berks County, Pennsylvania on BCTV at 9:00 am on Sunday, March 26, courtesy of Boscov’s Travel and Apple Vacations.
